The Bombay Teachers’ Training College invites submissions for original papers for the UGC Sponsored International Conference on the theme “Redefining Education: Expanding Horizons”.

About the Institution:
The Bombay Teachers' Training College has dedicated itself to the service of society preparing educators for all levels for almost four decades. Our college has been re-accredited "A" grade by NAAC. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. It is one of the premier institutions under the umbrella of the prestigious Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board. We have a long history of excellence and repute with a solemn commitment to address ourselves vigorously to the needs of a dynamic society. We believe in aligning ourselves to the requirement of the new age of teaching, research, disseminating knowledge and application of knowledge. We believe in creating a dynamic, exciting discovery-driven intellectual environment in our institution.

About the Conference:
After the first wave of the onset of globalization, stakeholders in the field of education felt that a transformation of existing educational systems was imminent. What followed that was an upsurge of new initiatives in educational systems across the world. However, since the initial euphoria there remain several challenges which have not yet found a suitable resolution. The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for academicians and professionals from various educational fields with cross-disciplinary interests to bridge the knowledge gap, promote research esteem and the evolution of pedagogy. We invite research papers that encompass conceptual analysis, design implementation and performance evaluation.

The objectives of the conference are:
1.    To give educationists and professionals related to the field of education a platform to exchange opinions on the theme;
2.    To identify and explore challenges in education related to identified sub-themes;
3.    To expand perspectives of educational leadership and practices towards achieving a globally competitive edge.
4.    To suggest new practices in order to redefine education to align it with future needs.

The target group is teachers at all levels, administrators, teacher educators, researchers, professionals from corporate sectors, Personnel from NGOs, curriculum designers, policy makers, from the local, national and international arena.

Guidelines for Submission:
Submissions must be received with all information complete as email attachments to bttc.redefine@gmail.com . The Subject line of the email should state: 2013 BTTC International Conference

Paper Abstract:
MS Word document, maximum of 500 words excluding references.
Page Size: A4, Margins: 1” top, 1” bottom, 1.25’ left, 1” right.
Font: Times New Roman Size-12, Headings-14 Bold, Spacing-1.5
Sub-theme: Font 14, Bold, Central alignment.
Title of the paper: Font 14, Bold, Central alignment.
Author/s, Designation, Institute: Right alignment, below title, italics.
References: APA style, maximum ten references.
Email Ids & Contact numbers: end of the paper, Font 12, Bold.

Poster Specifications:
Poster dimensions should be 120 cm by 90 cm. We recommend you to have flex or vinyl printing.
Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors name, designation and name of the institution. The text, illustrations, graphics should be visible from a distance.

Full Papers:
The length of the paper should be approximately 2500 words excluding references. Format as mentioned for the abstract.

Contributors need to clearly identify the category or type of presentation being submitted. All papers will be reviewed by the Expert Committee.

International Delegates : $150/-
Demand Draft drawn on a nationalized/international bank payable by Bank draft in favour of Bombay Teachers’ Training College, Mumbai.

Limited accommodation may be available on payment basis.
